Lemmer Safaris

ABOUT US

Our Heritage

Our story is deeply rooted in the rich heritage of African hunting.

Hermanus Richard Lemmer was born in South Africa, with his family’s roots tracing back to Tanzania, where his father was involved in farming and ivory hunting.

After relocating to South Africa, the Lemmer family settled in the picturesque Central Drakensberg, Winterton Area.

A Legacy of Passion

Richard’s passion for hunting ignited at a young age. At just seven years old, he achieved a remarkable milestone by bagging his first Impala. This early experience fueled a lifelong dedication to the art of hunting and conservation.

In 1991, Richard pursued a Professional Hunter (PH) License, solidifying his commitment to the field.

His extensive experience spans across some of Africa’s most renowned hunting destinations, including Namibia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and, of course, South Africa. Each location has offered unique challenges and unforgettable moments, contributing to his expertise and deep understanding of African wildlife.
